Sodium polyacrylate CAS 9003-04-7

Sodium polyacrylate is a white powder. Odorless and tasteless. Strong hygroscopicity. A high molecular compound with hydrophilic and hydrophobic groups. Slowly dissolved in water to form a very thick transparent liquid, the viscosity of 0.5% solution about Pa•s, viscosity and due to water swelling (such as CMC, sodium alginate), but due to the ion phenomenon of many anionic groups in the molecule to increase the molecular chain, performance viscosity increases and form a high viscosity solution. Its viscosity is about 15-20 times that of CMC and sodium alginate. Heating treatment, neutral salts and organic acids have little effect on the viscosity, but the viscosity increases when it is alkaline. Insoluble in organic solvents such as ethanol. Strong heat to 300 degrees does not decompose. Long time viscosity changes very little, not easy to corrupt.
