Urea CAS 57-13-6

Urea, also known as urea or carbamide, is a final product of protein metabolism in humans and mammals, and a major organic nitride excreted by animals. Pure white granular or needle, prismatic crystal, mixed with iron and other heavy metals are reddish or yellow. Tasteless and odorless, easily soluble in water, ethanol and benzene, insoluble in ether and chloroform. At 20℃, 100 kg water can dissolve 105 kg urea, which absorbs heat when dissolved. Aqueous solution has a neutral reaction. The nitrogen content of pure product is 46.65%, and that of agricultural urea is 42% ~ 46%. It contains a small amount of biuret, generally less than 2%, which is usually harmless to crop growth. Urea has a smaller specific gravity and bulk density, weighing 0.65 tons per cubic meter of fertilizer.
