Antineoplastic Agents Demehylcantharidin Norcantharidin / NCTD 99% Powder

Norcantharidin (NCTD) has been reported to induce tumor cell apoptosis. However, the underlying mechanism behinds its antitumor effect remains elusive. We have previously shown that TR3 expression is significantly decreased in metastatic melanomas and involved in melanoma cell apoptosis. In this study, we showed that norcantharidin inhibited melanoma cell proliferation and induced apoptosis in a dose related manner.

1. Norcantharidin has the effects of anti-tumor, especially for the primary liver cancer
2. Norcantharidin (diluted solutions) can be used as a topical medication to remove warts and tattoos and to treat the small papules of Molluscum contagiosum.
3. Norcantharidin can also be used to help treat lung cancer, rectum cancer and carcinoma of mammary gland, etc.
