Irbesartan is an inhibitor of Angiotensin ⅱ (Ang ⅱ) receptor, which can be divided into AT1 and AT2. By selectively blocking the AT1 receptor of AnglI, irbesartan can inhibit the transformation of Ang ⅰ into Ang ⅱ, and can specifically antagonize the Angiotensin converting enzyme 1 receptor (AT1). The antagonistic effect on AT1 was 8500 times that of AT2. Chemicalbook selectively blocked the binding of Ang ⅱ to AT1 receptor, inhibited the vasoconstriction and the release of aldosterone, and produced the antihypertensive effect.
