Calcium pantothenate, one of the B vitamins, is one of the essential nutrients for the normal growth of organisms. Calcium pantothenate exists in three forms due to its chiral carbon atoms: DL-body (mixed body), D-body (dextral body) and L-body (L-body), only calcium D-pantothenate has biological activity, and its appearance is white or slightly yellow needle crystal or Chemicalbook powder. Its melting point is 195 ~ 196℃(decomposition), soluble in water, methanol, glycerin, slightly soluble in ethanol and acetone, with hygroscopic property and slightly sweet taste.
