Verbascoside is an oxygen glycoside in glycoside compounds, also known as Ergosteride. It is relatively stable under acidic conditions. It is less stable under neutral and alkaline conditions, but adding an appropriate amount of ascorbic acid can significantly inhibit its degradation. It is mainly found in some medicinal plants, such as Cistanche, Forsythia, Rehmannia and Lydanum. Ergosteride is a glycoside in glycosides, also known as mulin, mulin glycoside.  Ergosteroids are highly bioactive. Its benefits are manifold.  It has anti-aging, improve immune function, enhance memory, analgesia, lowering blood lipids and defecation and other functions.
